This is a True Story

I climbed this mountain in July 1971, and nearly lost my life while on an extremely difficult route up the left-hand ridge in the picture. At a moment of either life or death, with tears streaming down my face- I cried out for God to save me.

I had been contemplating what I needed to do to get out of this jam- for quite some time, but was afraid to try it- for failure in doing such a nearly impossible human feat- would have brought certain death. At my last moment where I was running out of strength to hang on- I screamed out for God’s help, and instantly my body was filled with supernatural power- as a big yellow “wave” engulfed me (I saw it come upon me)- as the whole sky changed color (with the “spiritual” sight I had- just moments before potential death- I saw this too), and a loud audible voice spoke, and said, “Go!!!” I then- instantly responded to that voice!!

The Lord then gave a miraculous deliverance where I climbed an overhang- at the top of a face within this ridge- that was shaped like an “hour-glass”- as His mighty power surged through my body- giving me the strength to do it. Grand Teton National Park- didn’t claim its seventh victim that summer’s climbing season, and I learned that although it took another thirteen years before I came to personally know Jesus Christ- who saved me that day- that God was for sure- real, and really there– for those who cry out to Him in their desperate need.

Today- many years later- I hear the Lord’s voice well, and have now started ABIDING MINISTRIES- to help others do the same, and to learn to Abide in Christfor Jesus Christ- IS the Savior of the world, and truly abiding in Him- brings fantastic reward!!
